Champion mare Carabella is being given one last chance at a comeback. And an article on Harnesslink last month has played a serious part in it.

“About two days after you wrote that article about my tendon treatment, Robert Famularo rung me about and asked if I’d take Carabella for a few months,” said Burnham trainer, Margo Nyhan.

“We haven’t done too much with her yet, but both of her legs are looking super.” She added.

“When she went amiss last time it was through offloading, which is another thing I am big on treating. I’m pretty confident I can get her back to the track.

“Put it this way. I have managed to get horses back to the races with legs far worse than hers.”

Nyhan has only had Carabella a short time, but she has already become very fond of her.

“She definitely knows who she is, that’s for sure.”

Carabella fact file: 19 starts: 17 wins, 2 seconds. $643,833
