Armbro Invasion, one the greatest ever trotting sires to stand in the Southern hemisphere, died as the result of a heart attack at Stonegate Farm, Nathalia (Vic.) on Thursday night (February 27). He was aged 27 years.

A son of supersire Speedy Crown and the world champion racemare Delmegan, Armbro Invasion has been represented by more than 30 Group 1 or Listed winners and his stock have won in excess of $10-million.
Heading his list of winners is the millionaire trotter Take A Moment, who has won a record thirteen Group 1 events including two Inter Dominion finals and was twice named NZ Trotter of the Year.
