Rookie harness racing trainer Chantal Turpin is just hoping for some luck. Turpin will have two representatives in tomorrow night's Gr.2 $50,000 Parklands Premiers Cup Final at the Gold Coast after qualifying both Compton Street and Im Young Tommy for the 2609m stand start feature.

Initially, Turpin had three finalists but was forced to scratch Supabet earlier this week.

It's the second time this season that Turpin and her fiancé Pete McMullen have qualified multiple finalists for feature events after Compton Street and Overlap both represented the stable in the Gr.2 Carousel Final at TABCORP Park, Menangle back in April.

"It's been awesome this season qualifying for these big events and I'm hopeful that the result this weekend will be vastly different compared to Sydney." Turpin said.

Compton Street was gallant in defeat behind Alberto Contador and Supreme Mach in the opening heat last week after setting the speed in front before peaking in the concluding stages while Im Young Tommy finished off nicely for third behind Major Strike and Crazy Good in the second heat.

Both horses went into their respective heats fresh.

"We've deliberately set these horses for this series and both performed really well; they both had a good blow after the race and have trained on well this week.

Tommy (Compton Street) made a flyer and we ended up in front and he rolled along nicely so I was really happy with him, which was his first start since the Carousel Final. Junior (Im Young Tommy) got a bit keen at various points but still found the line once he got clear.

I'll be driving Tommy and Pete will take the drive on Junior, both will need some luck but I'm really happy with both of them. The Dixon stable will prove very hard to beat with their runners."

Turpin has trained 52 winners so far this season which leaves her equal fifth on the state premiership behind the likes of Grant Dixon, Vicki Rasmussen and Darrel Graham.

On the flip side, McMullen leads the driver's premiership race in the Sunshine State with 134 winners to date.

"We've been very fortunate to have great support; our owners and families are fantastic and they've shown a lot of faith in both of us and we're hoping to repay that faith tomorrow night.

We've recently moved into our new property and the switch has been big but the support we've received has made it a lot easier."

The Parklands Premiers Cup is Race 5 on the program.
