Chausettes Blanche and Sean Bier - have too much mementum for their opposition.

Andrea Hill's Chausettes Blanche ($12.40, Sean Bier) hit her best gear in the final strides for the second straight week and pulled off harness racingn upset in the $18,600 Mares Open Tuesday (August 3) at Harrington Raceway in 1:55.1.

Trained by Crissy Crissman, the 8-year-old Christian Cullen mare raced from off the pace throughout before mounting her attack on the final turn and surging by tiring pacesetter Perfect M Forever and a game VC Atom N for a narrow win. VC Atom held second while Perfect M Forever faded to third. It was the fifth win of the year for ‘Blanche.’

Drivers Tony Morgan and Corey Callahan each won three races on the program.

The 5th Annual Bobby Quillen Memorial ($315,000, est.), Harrington’s signature event is fast approaching with eliminations on September 12 and final on September 19. Some of the sport’s top aged pacers are eligible to the event, including Foiled Again and Won The West among many others.
