Nevele R Stud, in conjunction with Ian Dobson, is thrilled to announce that champion stallion Christian Cullen and exciting young sire Gotta Go Cullen are to stand at Nevele R in the 2013-14 season.

We're absolutely delighted to have the opportunity to stand a stallion the calibre of Christian Cullen, who arguably has the best 2, 3 and 4yo pacers in Australasia this season in Allblack Stride, Alta Christiano and Christen Me, and who has done such an outstanding job over the years. Equally we're looking forward to standing his beautifully bred and performed son Gotta Go Cullen whose first crop 2yo's are really impressing their trainers by all reports. This welcome news comes on the back of significant changes at Nevele R Stud, with the company recently combining with Spreydon Lodge to provide a one stop shop for standardbred breeders and owners that offers agistment, foaling, breeding, weaning, yearling sales prep, breaking in and training of horses.

The restructuring process has seen a number of key new appointments with long term Stud Master Kevin Roberson recently retiring and former General Manager Peter O'Rourke electing not to take up a position with the new company. Helena Francis, the daughter of the late Wayne Francis, takes up the role of Managing Director whilst the following appointments, all of which have come from within the company, have been made:

Stud Master - Jill Smolenski

Stud Veterinarian -Mike Hills

Farm Manager - Zane Gregg

Livestock - Mike Noble

Marketing and Sales - Nikki Reed

Administration - Dawn Harris

Race Team - Steve McRae

"It was purely a business decision," said prolific owner Ian Dobson. "Christian Cullen's fertility has been waning and things weren't really working out," he added.
