The Art Major horse Renaissance Man, a new harness racing addition to the Yirribee Pacing Stud team, sired the winners of both $20,000 Westsired 3YO classics at Gloucester Park on Friday night (June 12).
Longreach Bay, a three-year-old gelding, led from end to end in a career-best 1:56.1 and has now won four of his nine starts, while Fifty Five Reborn, a filly, was trapped wide early before working to the top and running out the 2130 metres in a new lifetime mark of 1:57.1. It was her sixth success.
Former world champion Warrawee Needy was credited with his eighth individual winner from his first crop when the two-year-old filly Warra Downs saluted on debut in 1:59.3 at Bathurst. Warrawee Needy also produced winners at Dubbo in the two-year-old gelding The Grogfather (1:59.9) and Grand River Raceway, Canada with the three-year-old Fronnie's Miracle (1:58).
Tintin In America sired fast winners in both hemispheres at the weekend. God's Spirit NZ won in 1:50.2 at The Meadowlands, New Jersey, while Topsky scored in a career-best 1:55 at Newcastle.
The Little Brown Jug winner Million Dollar Cam continues to rack up the winners. His latest haul included Plumpton Road (1:57.1, Wagga), the Yirribee Pacing Stud bred Allegretto (1:59.7, Bathurst), Neville Shannon (Tamworth) and the Redcliffe victors Camroller (1:58) and Getaloadathisgirl (1:59.8).
