In a timely boost for NSW breeders and the upcoming Australian Pacing Gold Sales the Directors of the principal Club (New South Wales Harness Racing Club) will be purchasing yearlings for syndication and promotional activities this year.

The Board of Directors yesterday settled on the process whereby three quality yearling fillies will be secured from the 2013 round of sales and placed with different trainers.

The main criteria for the selection of the yearlings is they must be NSW Breeders Challenge eligible and offered by NSW vendors at the APG Sales.

Fifty percent of each of the fillies will be placed into syndication in ten equal shares whilst the other fifty percent share will be utilised for on-course promotions at Tabcorp Park Menangle.

The Club will manage the yearlings at no cost to the syndicate members whilst those patrons lucky enough to win will enjoy the experience of owning a pacer for a twelve month term.

“We see the syndication component as offering members of the Club and the general public a relatively low cost avenue for owning a well bred young pacer.” NSWHRC Chief Executive John Dumesny said.

“As for the promotional side of this venture on-course patrons will be given an opportunity, free of charge, to enter a competition with ten lucky people per horse given the thrill of ownership.”

“There will be dedicated themes for each of the three horses one of which has been confirmed which will be an all female affair right down to the trainer, driver and strapper. “

Syndication will commence immediately after the purchase of each of the fillies however the promotional side of the activity won’t commence until after the TAB.COM.AU Inter Dominion Carnival.
