September 27, 2015 - Today’s Paris-Vincennes Gr. I monte Prix des Elites (purse €240,000, 2150 meters, 13 contestants) was won imjpressively by 7.5/1 Cocktail Meslois (3m Roc Meslois-Ocarina Mesloise) with Franck Nivard in the irons. The winning team was clocked in 1.13.7kr over the stated distance while the next two across the line traveled an additional 50 meters as they were five year-olds and up. 92/1 Alto de Viette (5m Ready Cash-Mini Ceinture) was second for J. Vanmeerbeck timed in 1.12.3kr with third to 10/1 Astor du Quenne (6m Opus Viervil-Qualinka du Quenne) for Adrien Lamy, trainer Sebastian Guarato and Ecurie Haras de la Coquenne.

The Prix d’Issigeac at Paris-Vincennes went to the Robert Bergh trained/reined Udo’s Oiler (7g Orlando Vici-Carmela Kemp) at 2.9/1. The 2100 meter autostart contest with a €55,000 purse was clocked in a sharp 1.11.5kr by the three length winner that has been racing well in Paris. Etoile Sweden HB owns Udo’s Oiler. 14/1 Capello Bob (9g Trade Balance-Yroflickan) was second for Eric Raffin, trainer Vincent Martens abd Stall Label HB. Third was earned by the 4.3/1 odds, Mathieu Abrivard teamed Ulexa des Plains (7f Jag de Bellouet-Lola Dessuti) trained by Philippe Daugeard.

Also on the Vincennes card was the Quinte+ Prix Ovidius Naso (purse €85,000, 2850 meters, 15 european starters) and the growing Q+ jackpot this day was €3.9 million. The 2.3/1 odds winner was the Joakim Lovgren trained/driven Alfas de Vinci (7g Orlando Vici-Hillary Clinton) owned by Stall Jamn Lenhavda. The 1.14.6kr winner defeated 48/1 Sergent du Rib (9g Baccarat du Pont-Hermine du Rib) driven by Alexandre Abrivard and third finishing 6/1 Tornado Bello (8m Jag de Bellouet-Enfilade) with Pierre Levesque up for trainer Mike Lenders. This one is a half-brother to Offshore Dream, the double Prix d’Amerique winner. The win-place combined handle on the Q+ was over €1.158 million. Olympic Kronos and Juggle Face finished eighth and ninth with 1.4/1 favorite Ulster Perrine disqualified for a miscue.
