Durhamville, NY – After being the leading consignor per average yearling price at last week’s Morrisville College Yearling Sales, the Crawford Farms staff are looking to take on the Lexington Select Yearling Sale with their New York sired trotting and pacing yearlings.

“We were extremely pleased with the results at Morrisville,” Said Michelle Crawford.  “We had 11 yearlings that averaged $20,455 each including the sales topper, a colt by Lucky Chucky – Classical Princess that brought $59,000.  Compared to the sales average price of $10,246, we felt we did great!“

This year at the Lexington yearling sales, Crawford Farms has all New York sired trotters and pacers going under the auctioneers hammer.

“This is a great crop of yearlings we have this year,” said Crawford,  “I guess if I had to choose which one I thought would bring the highest price it would have to be Hip #196. Allaboutmichelle is by Rocknroll Heaven and we are really excited about him. He is our first colt out of Cheerful Outlook. She is a 100% producer from unfashionable sires. He is a stunning colt and looks the part of a future grand circuit star.”

Allaboutmichelle is also a half brother to $381,000 winner, All About Kisses.

Another top yearling prospect that Michelle Crawford pointed out is #250 Americanabsolution, an American Ideal half brother to $380,000 winner Sweet Hedge and is a full brother to Sweetnsinful p,2, 1:52.2 ($180,000) who was second Saturday night in the $225,000 NYSS Championship Final and this colt is also a full brother to Sweet Like Candy, who just won the $50,000 Sharon Renkers Memorial at Fraser Downs. “We are very excited about this group of yearlings selling in Lexington,” Crawford said. “And the foals we have on the ground now we plan to bring here in 2014 include a gorgeous brother to A Rocknroll Dance that should make for a bright future.”

“Our staff has worked day and night preparing our yearlings for the sales this year,” Crawford said, “And they have done a superb job and we are sure that will show in the sales ring come this week!”
