Cuba Libre scores with ease at Enghien

Cuba Libre (6g Nahar de Beval-Kiss Me Love), off at 3.3/1 odds, took Monday’s Quinte+ Prix de Pomarez (purse 52,000€, 2875 meters, 18 starters) at Eghien, timed in 1.14.1kr and reined by Yoann Lebourgeois and trainer/owner Antonio Ripoll Rigo. 

This horse recorded his ninth career victory in 48 starts. The Q+ exact order payoff for a 2€ wager of 186,682.60€. 42/1 Au Nid de Gassard(8g LeRetour) was second for David Thomain ahead of third finishing 62/1 Absolut Perfect (8g Carpe Diem) handled by owner/trainer J.F. Senet.

Completing the top five were 11/1 Cash du Rib (6g Ready Cash) and 9/1 Chard Devant (6g Otello Pierji).

The Monday card also included the Prix de Bezons (monte, purse 60,000€, 2875 meters, 10 starters) with that victory earned by 7.1/1 odds Estelou (4g Texas Charm-Topaze Bourbon).

Eric Raffin was the jockey for owner/trainer Julien Dubois. Scuderia Bolgheri Srl bred this winner that recorded his fifth career win ibn 25 outings. Race time was 1.15.4kr. 18/1 Erki Sibey (4g Niky) took second for Franck Nivard and trainer Thierry Raffegeau. Third went to 20/1 Electron du Rib (4g Paris Haufor) for jockey Mlle. 

Clara Dersoir and trainer Mme. Carine Hallais-Dersoir.The Prix de Montresor (purse 42,000€, 285 meters, 16 starters) showcased a 1.14.9kr timed victory by 3.3/1 Emily de Montfort (4f Jasmin de Flore-Quismy de Montfort), the full-sister to the great mare Billie de Montfort.

Glenny Delaune teamed the Sebastien Guarato trainee for owner Philippe Dauphin, as she scored for the fourth time in 18 career starts.

Billie de Montfort will be among the favorites in the October 28th Tour de Europeen Trotter Francais at Mons.
