On Wednesday, New Zealand bred Christian Cullen/Gucci Franco 4-Y-0 gelding Supersonic Cullen NZ was a tough winner of the 2nd Heat of the Harness Racing Owners Association Provincial Cup for C1 class over 2105 metres at Cranbourne.

Trained and driven by Craig Demmler, the son of former World Driving Champion Ted not far from the track, Supersonic Cullen was used up from gate two in trying to head off the rank outsider Silver Inn inside him, before dropping in for a trail when it was clearly seen that the lead wasn't there.

Again moving to face the open shortly after not wanting to risk a pocket, Supersonic Cullen spent most of the race parked, before drawing away in the home running to impressively score from Shovanistic and Budding Christian in a 2-03.3 rate and in doing so, chalked up his 3rd victory in 13 outings.
