With the Christchurch Casino New Zealand Trotting Cup Day only 6 weeks away, tickets have been selling extremely well with general admission, Lindauer Lawn tickets and hospitality packages all well ahead of last year at the same time.
This year will see capacity limited to 25,000 at Addington Raceway and with customers aware of this, early uptake has been strong since tickets went on sale on 1 August. Addington officials are keen to provide an exceptional experience for all patrons who attend Cup Day on Tuesday 12 November, whether it is in the public village (general admission), Lindauer Lawn or for those guests in hospitality areas.
General admission tickets purchased prior to race day are $20 (plus a booking fee), or $30 on the day. Many patrons are taking advantage of the pre-race day offer.
Lindauer Lawn tickets are also strictly limited with uptake very popular at $70 (plus a booking fee) per ticket. Many local cafes and bars have already purchased tickets and packaged them into an all-day experience including transport and breakfast for their customers.
Hospitality areas are in demand with some already sold out including the Johnny Globe and Lordship Marquees, Christian Cullen Lounge, Blanc de Blanc Lawn and the new Spectators Bar & Bistro. Various options are still available comprising of the Boot Party, Luxury Liner Marquee, inner track Private Marquees and the Legends Lounge on the top floor of the Metropolitan Stand.
Cup Day is one of the most highly anticipated social events on Canterbury’s calendar and is a great opportunity for many race goers to dress up, enjoy the entertainment and experience the very best of harness racing action.
The second Tuesday in November promises to be another cracker on a bright sunny day at Addington, with the greatest horseflesh in Australasia competing in the feature race, the Christchurch Casino New Zealand Trotting Cup.
