DAYTON, OH. – Drivers Dan Noble and Jeremy Smith are waging a heated back-and-forth battle for early supremacy in the Hollywood Gaming at Dayton Raceway dash derby.
Smith managed a five wins to four advantage over Noble on Opening Day on September 10, a program during which Jeremy also captured his 2,000th career victory.
Noble, however, assumed the lead with a second consecutive four-bagger on Day Two-a lead he has maintained through the first 13 cards of the meet.
Dan won five times on Saturday night (Sept.29) to put some distance between himself and Smith.
With six triumphs on the Monday afternoon (Oct. 1) slate, however, Smith has narrowed Noble's lead back down to 32-27.
Smith's six-pack of winners were Mikes Hope (1:52.3, $4.80), Artistic Fusion (1:52.2, $5.60), Winna Winna (1:52.4, $4.20), Cenalta Power (1:53.2, $13.60), Genuine Desire (1:54.4, $5.00) and Stonebridge Cowboy (1:55.1, $7.00).
Josh Sutton, Chris Page and Tyler Smith round out the top five in the current standings.
Racing resumes Tuesday afternoon at Hollywood Gaming at Dayton Raceway with a 2:15 p.m. post time.
