DOVER, Del.--- After finishing second by a neck and a head in her previous two starts, Dismissal finally bested Barbara's Shadow to score a 1:52 victory in the $15,000 4 & 5-Year-Old Mares harness racing feature on Tuesday, March 21 at Dover Downs.

Corey Callahan took control after the opening quarter and was never headed on the way to her fifth victory this year. The four-year-old daughter of Western Terror-Her Mattjesty shook off a backstretch challenge from Barefoot Julie (Tim Tetrick) after the three-quarters then pulled away averting any conflict from Barbara's Shadow (Vic Kirby) who was three lengths back in second turning for home. In The Shadows (Tony Morgan) closed fast to miss second by a neck.

Dismissal began 2017 running off four consecutive convincing wins before her two close losses. It was her 12th career victory upping her lifetime earnings to $94,890 for owner CTC Stable.

Shesagamemajor, owned by Craig Birchard, a U.S. citizen who resides in Germany, made it two win in three starts in a $13,500 Mares pace. Bret Brittingham drove the Art Major-Ru In The Game five-year-old trained by his dad, Don Brittingham, to a lifetime best 1:54.1 decision. Specialcelebration (Callahan) was runner-up. The Big Bankroll (Kirby) was third.

Logan's Girl, 2016 Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund champion, prepped for her three-year-old DSBF stakes by overcoming post 9 in the second tier, to notch a 1:53.1 victory in an $11,500 Mares pace with Vic Kirby holding the reins for trainer Jim King and owner JoAnn Looney-King. Aunt Babe (Pat Berry) closed well to finish second. Rocknroll Fan (Vince Copeland) was the show horse.

Tony Morgan, the second-leading dash win driver in North America, made the winner's circle four times. Trainer Brian Malone haltered three winners, two for owner Carrie Malone. Corey Callahan, Allan Davis and Bret Brittingham had doubles.

Wind Of The North returns to meet Tough Mac, Gural Hanover and Market Share in a nine horse field in the $21,000 Open Handicap Tuesday feature race.
