DOVER, Del.— If you Want Fire and Three Day Forecast, both winners last time out, head an eight-horse harness racing field in the $20,000-$25,000 Claiming Handicap on Sunday, Jan. 17 at Dover Downs.
Already a two-time winner this meet, If You Want Fire scored a wire-to-wire victory ln his recent start. Allan Davis will be in the bike for owners Mike Casalino and meet leading trainer Dylan Davis. Three Day Forecast also makes his first start in the claiming ranks with Tony Morgan driving for owner Bob Murray. Too Darn Hot owned by trainer-driver Jason Lynch and Jim Jacobs leaves from the rail.
Troy Tribbett's Big Secret and Jonathan Roberts has been sharp in recent starts. The other contestants are CC Racing's R River Dell with Vic Kirby, Kathleen Brewer's Jackson Brady and Ross Wolfenden and Roger Plante drives Gary Humphreys' Spinout from post 8.
John Cancelliere's Special T Rocks (A.Davis) drew outside in the top conditioned pace on the card. Cabbie's Delight (sean Bier), owned by Eric Good and trainer Gary Simpson, has post 9 in the second tier while Star Messenger (Kirby), with a win and a second in his last three starts is joined by Karen Walls' Elite Awards (Marcus Miiler) from the rail among top contenders.
