SUMMERSIDE, PE – With a perfect two-hole ride, Dangle Ona Dime was first to the wire in the harness racing featured event Wednesday evening at Red Shores at the Summerside Raceway.
In line to Ken Murphy, Dangle Ona Dime left well from post 5 to sit behind post 1 starter Mando Fun (Driven by Dale Spence) in the $2,600 featured event on the special Wednesday evening program at the Prince County Oval. Mando Fun cut out splits of 27.3, 56.3 and 1:26.2 before Dangle Ona Dime powered up in the stretch drive to win by a length in 1:56.2.
Duane MacEachern conditions the four-year-old son of Pang Shui for owner Darla MacEachern of Summerside. Mando Fun was second while Nogreatmischief (Walter Cheverie) finished third.
The Darren Crowe stable was in town shipping in from Truro Raceway in Nova Scotia and scored a pair of wins. Crowe opened the card with a maiden score by Ashestodiamonds in 2:00.2, then Barona Lilac was a winner in 1:59.3 for trainer-driver Crowe. The Nova Scotia reinsman also picked up a catch driving win with WC Marys Buddy in 1:58.2 for trainer Don Sweet of O’Leary.
