Leaving from post position #2 in a field of seven as the even-money favorite, Daylon Miracle (-Daylon Marvel), a 5-year-old mare trained by William Bercury, sat fifth for the first half-mile of the race. It wasn't until the back stretch that driver set the mare in motion and took aim at pacesetting Coraggioso. In the stretch, Daylon Miracle took over and held off the closers by three-quarters of a length in 1:56:1 on a sloppy track. Money On My Mind rallied for second while Coraggioso faded to third.
Daylon Miracle won for the sixth time in ten races this season. It was her 18th career victory, pushing her lifetime earnings to $310,003.
