Armor Hanover (SJ's Caviar) scored in the Sunday harness racing feature at Saratoga Casino Hotel as the Doug Berkeley trainee went coast to coast in the $12,000 Open Trot. Bruce Aldrich Jr. piloted the eight year old trotter, who finished third in last week's Open, and guided him out to the front end.

The race's top two betting favorites, Cash Me Out and Slugfest, each got parked the mile and Armor Hanover held strong in the stretch to win in 1:57.4.

Cincinnati Miss (Frank Coppola Jr) came on to be second while Cash Me Out (Jim Devaux) salvaged the show spot in the six-horse feature.

Armor Hanover, a ten-time winner last year, scored for the first time in his three 2017 starts on Sunday.

Returning $16.60 to win, Armor Hanover led an exacta and triple that paid $72.50 and $339.50, respectively.

For Aldrich, it was the third winner of the day.

Live racing resumes on Thursday afternoon with a 12:15pm first post time.
