Bad Man Sam heads the Sunday feature at Dover Downs

DOVER, Del. ---- Bad Man Sam puts a two-race win streak on the line in the Sunday, $20,000 Male Claiming Allowance pace, at Dover Downs when live racing returns after an annual Christmas Holiday Break, on Dec.29.

Jim Jacobs' claim of Bad Man Sam in late November has paid off with two consecutive wins in three starts since with trainer-driver Jason Lynch at the controls. In both of those events, Bill Emmons' Lord Terror finished second and third and now draws the rail with Vic Kirby driving. Betty Brittingham's Raritan Bay, has been sharp recently with Bret Brittingham driving.

The rest of the starters are Nicole Ratledge and Crissman Inc.'s Bad Rusty handled by Tony Morgan, Arty Foster's Betterthanlynx is reined by Corey Callahan, Daryl Bier, and J&T Silva's Hot Roddy with Allan Davis, Don Reed and Jim Tessmer's McElodian piloted by George Dennis, Joe Rocks with Chris Page driving for Mike and Linda English and trainer John Wilkerson and driver Trace Tetrick's Stubbs Hanover, off two good qualifying journeys, making his first start since last Summer.

Sunday post time is 5:30 p.m. This week, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday; post time is 4:30 p.m. This Tuesday, Dec. 31, New Year's Eve, will be dark for racing. There is racing on New Year 's Day, Jan. 1, 2014.
