SUMMERSIDE, PE – A perfect two-hole ride sealed the way to victory for Noundidnt Blue Chip in the feature event and capped off a six-win performance by his driver Sunday afternoon at Red Shores at the Summerside Raceway.
Warren Grove resident David Dowling was the star of Sunday's Red Shores Summerside program winning six races on the 10-dash card. In the $2,800 featured pace, Adkins Hanover (Driven By Ambyr Campbell) went to front and controlled the race with splits of 29.2, 1:00.4 and 1:29.3 while fending off a first-over advance from Woodmere Ideal Art (Norris Rogers). Dowling sat pretty in the two-hole with Noudidnt Blue Chip for the duration of the race until he powered up for a neck decision in 1:58.3. Adkins Hanover was at the wire for second while third went to Pictonian Storm (Myles Heffernan Sr.). Noudidnt Blue Chip is owned and trained by Neal Moase of Warren Grove.
That feature win was one of six visit's to the winner's circle for Dowling. He started off the day capturing the first five dashes until his feature win in race 9. The action started as he steered The Devils Cut to a 2:02 victory for Chris MacKay of French River the won with Bugtown Superstar in 2:02.2 for Brian Walsh of Albany. Woodmere Oleksiak romped by nine lengths in race 3 in 1:58.3 for Dowling and trainer Earl Watts of Hampshire. Trainer Elton Millar of Tyne Valley supplied Dowling with wins four and five of the day as Ramset overcame an early break to win in 2:01.3 then Twice As Bright cruised to victory in 1:58.4.
Total wager was $17,405.
Live racing continues at Red Shores with the Future Star of 2019 taking place Monday evening at 6 P.M. at Red Shores Charlottetown. As well as live cards Thursday at 6:30 P.M and Saturday at 6 P.M. at the Capital oval while Red Shores Summerside returns to action Monday July 1 at 1 P.M.
