Charlottetown, PE – Eagle Jolt upended pace setter Doing Some Damage to capture the Thursday top harness racing class at Red Shores Racetrack & Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park.
Marc Campbell, who notched a driving double, rallied the pacer in deep stretch for the 1:55.3 score. Sent off a 6/1 odds, Eagle Jolt, owned by Wilbur and Marie MacDonald, Orwell Cove, PE, has 8 wins this season. Doing Some Damage faded to second with Perfect Escape (Ron Matheson) third.
Osprey Impact, Charlottetown's current trot record holder, delivered the in the open trot in 1:58.2 for Corey MacPherson. Freddie (Marc Campbell) was second with Thunderaway (Jason Hughes) third.
The other trotting assignments were won by Caliban Hanover for his 55th lifetime victory for owner Wendell MacDonald, Cornwall and Suicide Shift for Steven Shepherd.
MacPherson and Ken Murphy also recorded driving doubles.
