It All Comes Down to the Breeders Crown certainly rings true for HANA Harness' The Pen vs. The Chip Handicapping Challenge sponsored by the Hambletonian Society, Meadowlands, Tioga Downs, and Vernon Downs as thanks to selecting Uffa Girl ($97.00) in the 5th race last night at Vernon Downs, Earl the Pearl continues his late closing kick to land in second place coming into the final night of handicapping challenge.

Earl, who just two legs ago was in sixth place, is now just 0.024 behind leader Mark McKelvie in ROI.

Earl the Pearl blew out the competition last night, winning the sixty-second leg with a Win ROI of 4.741 grossing, $104.30 while Scott Alberg (0.986, $21.70) nosed out Mark McKelvie (0.982, $21.60) by a mere dime to land in the place spot.

With respect to the Exacta Key side competition, Pandy took top honors with his ROI of 1.630, grossing $71.70 in exacta wagers while Scott Alberg finished second with a ROI of 0.780 ($34.30) for the evening. Landing the show position was Mark McKelvie with a 0.541 rating ($23.80).
