This year's Winter Carnival of Harness Racing at Albion Park promises to deliver with pre-carnival action already heating up this Saturday night. Finals of both the Anzac Day Gift and Easter Gift will take centre stage along with the Southern Queensland Plumbing Sweetheart Stakes.

The support program is action packed as well to make up the ten event card with heat one of the QBRED Triad for the three year old fillies taking place as race eight.

Quite an open affair as race one will kick off the night, eight of the eleven starters have won at least one race in the latest four attempts. Professional placegetter Boydy Hart a Panorma gelding for trainer Vicki Rasmussen has placed at his latest five attempts whilst the Live or Die gelding, Astro Khan, trained by John McCarthy has impeccable Albion Park form in recent weeks including a victory here last Saturday night.

Trainer Bill Dixon has four runners engaged in the Anzac Day Final (Race three). Elzar, Karter Brown, Mega Alexander and Urbane Bromac will all line up flying the flag for the Dixon stable boasting strong chances, each finishing in the top four in heats last Saturday night.

Kenmor Atya, a gelding by Stature will line up in race four for trainer Trevor Lambourn. In a fitting win, Kenmor Atya won the Lou Cini Memorial last Friday night at the Gold Coast with Mr. Cini's son Charlie aboard.

The Easter Gift Final will take place as race five on the program. A strong showing by the Shannon Price trained gelding Caesars Folly (sired by Christian Cullen), who is lining up for win number 13 from start 20 including a victory in a heat last Saturday night. Stablemate Place Your Bet (Sired by Bettors Delight) has drawn the better of the two in gate two whilst the Dream Away filly, Dance Like A Dream who won heat two last week has drawn poorly in gate seven.

The Dixon stable is once again well represented in another feature- The Sweetheart Pace (Race Seven). Abbey Tiara, Aqua Blue Girl, Sterita and Dixie Bromac all represent the stable with the smart Abbey Tiara (As Promised), who is drawn in barrier three, appearing to be the leading chance.

Famous Forever Filly, Forever Gold will line up as a hot favourite in the first of the QBRED TRIAD heats, race eight, she is going for win 16 from 23 and win number six in a row which includes the Group Three 3YO QBRED Breeders Classic Final at the Gold Coast at her latest attempt for trainer Kylie Rasmussen.

A $5000 trotters discretionary handicap will conclude the nights racing at 10.05pm. The first on the ten races at "The Creek" will take place at 5:30pm.
