The hotly contested Gr. I International Hugo Abergs Memorial at Jagersro, Sweden for 1SEK million first prize, was decided by the judges in favor of Ed You, the seven year-old gelded son of Love You.

Robert Bergh is trainer/driver for Stall Sedin HB (also owner of Nahar) as Ed You closed on the outside to nip Occhione Jet on the line. Ed You won for the 22nd time in 58 career starts. Actual winner Un Mec d'Heripre, handled by Franck Nivard for Fabrice Souloy, was disqualified for interference against Magic Tonight and Johan Untersteiner in mid-stretch.

The pacesetter was Truculent and Johnny Takter as they parked out veteran Commander Crowe and his teamster Robin Bakker. Un Mec d'Heripre followed the Commander, his Fabrice Souloy trained stablemate, as the veteran eventually put away Truculent at top of stretch and appeared toward a popular victory until flattening out in the final 100 yards.

The whole field seized the moment and Un Mec d'Heripre left second on the outer behind the tiring Commander Crowe and moved to the lead scoring easily by a length.

Ed You and Occhione Jet flashed up on the outside to be second and third. Judges immediately signaled inquiry and then disqualified Un Mer d'Heripre alleging that he forced out, affecting Magic Tonight . Well regarded Orecchietti make a miscue early and was disqualified. Summary follows for the V75-6 event:
