Empire Stallions of Victoria, one of Australia's largest and most prominent breeding farms, will be providing fresh chilled semen to New Zealand breeders for five exciting stallions this season. Empire's headliner is the hottest harness racing sire in the world today, Rocknroll Hanover, by Western Ideal out of Rich N Elegant by Direct Scooter.

A winner of over $2.7 million in his sensational career, he is mirroring his race success in the breeding shed. From just his first two North American crops to race, Rocknroll Hanover has already left 10 in 1:50, 200 in 2:00 and the winners of over $20 million.

He was the Leading Money Winning Sire of two-year-old’s from his first crop to race in 2009 and the Leading Money Winning Sire of three-year-old’s in 2010 with over $9.4 million in progeny earnings.

Rocknroll Hanover is the sire of the 2010 USA Horse of the Year Rocknroll Heaven and many other classic winners. He has three World Champions to his credit including A Rocknroll Dance who equalled the world record for two-year-old colts this past weekend with his 1:49.2 win in an elimination for the $1 million Metro Pace in Ontario.

This is Rocknroll Hanover’s first season standing in the flesh in the southern hemisphere and his fee has been set at $12,500 plus GST.

Also joining Empire’s NZ roster for this season are Four Starzzz Shark, Artistic Fella, Kenneth J and Modern Art.

Millionaire Modern Art, by Artsplace out of a full sister to Western Hanover, is one of the best bred stallions in history and is enjoying international siring success. From his first three Australian crops to race he has produced 150 individual winners for progeny earnings of over $3.6 million.

From his first crop to race, he sired the Australian 2YO Colt of the Year Cuttheattitude, while the Australasian 2YO Breeders Crown Champion Filly Passions Promise hails from his second crop. Modern Art is currently ranked in the top bracket in every category of the Aussie sires’ list.

In North America, Modern Art has been equally impressive. From his first three crops to hit the racetracks, he is the sire of 171 in 2:00, 60 1:55 performers and the winners of over $11 million. Last season, the best two-year-old pacing fillies in Canada were Lauren and Modern Connection -- both by Modern Art -- who earned a combined $755,000.

Modern Art’s NZ service fee has been set at $5,000 plus GST.

Double World Champion Artistic Fella is gearing up for his third season at stud. A winner of 26 races from 52 lifetime starts and $2.6 million in his illustrious career, Artistic Fella was a fierce competitor winning an amazing 12 races under 1:50 with seven of these wins from 1:48 to 1:48.4.

His long list of accomplishments include setting a modern day record winning a remarkable 10 consecutive stakes races at The Meadowlands at 3, the $1 million Meadowlands Pace and the 4YO Breeders Crown Final.

Artistic Fella became the world’s fastest pacer at a mile over a five-eighths mile track in the Franklin Memorial in 1:48 neat outclassing both Mister Big and Mr Feelgood. His second world title came in the Classic Series Final where he covered the 1710 metre distance in 1:56.1 -- a world record mile rate of 1:49.6.

A member of the dominant Cam Fella siring line out of a stakes winning Artsplace mare and bred on the Rasmussen cross, Artistic Fella’s first foals are receiving rave reviews and will sell in Australia as yearlings in 2012. He stands at a fee of $4,000 plus GST.

A majestic son of Cam’s Card Shark, Four Starzzz Shark was one of most gifted racehorses ever to grace the track. Racing at the highest levels of competition beginning at age 2, Four Starzzz Shark became the fastest pacer in history establishing a world record of 1:47.4 while depositing over $2.5 million in his bank account.

He dominated many of the sport’s classics and twice won the prestigious William Haughton Memorial at the expense of Real Desire, McArdle and the richest pacer in history -- Gallo Blue Chip.

After his legendary racing career, it should come as no surprise that Four Starzzz Shark is exceeding all expectations as a sire. His first three crops have shown extraordinary ability and to date, they have already earned over $10 million. Following her sire’s lead, Dancinwiththestarzz waltzed her way into the world record books as the fastest three-year-old filly in history -- stopping the clock in an astonishing 1:48.4 at The Meadowlands in 2010.

Before shuttling to Australia, a small number of mares were bred in New Zealand with Shark’s frozen semen. Four Starzzz Flash has made a big impact on the New Zealand racing scene with 11 wins for earnings of over $160,000. His first Australian sired crop of 141 foals is currently in training and the reports are excellent.

Four Starzzz Shark’s fee will be $5,000 plus GST.

Kenneth J is Bettor’s Delight’s best son and his only progeny standing in the Southern Hemisphere. An exceptional two and three-year-old with a flawless gait and serious speed, Kenneth J won 15 stakes and established seven track and stakes records while banking $1.59 million.

Kenneth J was the fastest winner in the 40-year history of the 2YO International Stallion Stake stopping the clock in a sizzling 1:50.6 and was ranked number one in the United States Trotting Association’s Experimental Speed Ratings at the end of his two-year-old season.

Twice voted New York Horse of the Year, Kenneth J’s dam is the young stakes winning Artsplace mare Advantest who earned a record of 1:54.6 and is already the dam of four winners in 1:55. This is the immediate family of World Champions Tarport Hap, Cheery Hello and the great sire Tyler B with his distaff side tracing back to Betty G.

Kenneth J’s first crop of foals are grand looking, athletic individuals who will sell in Australia in 2012. He is available to NZ breeders at a fee of $4,000 plus GST.
