Drawing May 9 at Hanover Shoe Farm

The entry box for Harnesslink’s Name the Foal Contest is closed. There are more than 1,600 entries to name the harness racing filly sired by Somebeachsomewhere from the great mare, Put On A Show. Names have been submitted from people throughout the world.

Now Put On A Show’s owners, Richard and Joanne Young, will select up to five top choices as a name for the foal. Those names will be checked and approved by the USTA and then go into a drawing that will take place on Friday, May 9 at Hanover Shoe Farm in Hanover, PA.

Joanne Young will draw the winning name and then depending on the number of people that nominated that name, drawings will take place to see who wins all or a share of the $2,500 prize money. The prize money was put up by Richard Young, the Somebeachsomewhere Syndicate and Hanover Shoe Farm.

The public is invited to come out to Hanover Shoe Farm and view the drawings that will take place at 1:00 pm.

It is also fitting that the world champion bred filly will be named at the start of Mother’s Day Weekend as this is Put On A Show’s first foal and also on Saturday, May 10, is Joanne Young’s birthday!
