On June 11 at Lisieux, their Prix France Pare Brise (€30,000 purse, 2725 meters, 17 starters) went to the 1.15.4kr winner Vostania de Viette (6f Prodigious-Isis des Mariniera) with Anthony Barrier up. The 3.3/1 victor handled 18/1 Vegas d’Amos (6g Sancho Panca-Lambada d’Aurios) and 16/1 Soupir de Blary (9m Look de Star-Kassandra de Blary) driven by harness racing owner Franck Anne, in a large-scale battle to the line.
That day at Vichy their Prix Jean Tortel (monte, purse €38,000, 2850 meters, 14 European starters) produced a 1.16.4kr victory for 6/1 Accord Marjacq (5g Odeisis de Vandel-Opaline Markjacq) with jockey S-E Pasquier in the irons. 3/1 Titan du Closet (8g Jag de Bellouet-Granade du Closet) was second ahead of 6/1 Vainqueur d’Echal (6g Jordan du Bezirais-Paxella du Boulay).
On June 12 at Laval the Prix du Bocage Mayennais (€19,000 purse, 2875 meters, 16 starters, national) the 1.17.6kr winner was Crazy Dream (3g Repeat Love-Daisy Chain) owned by Ecurie D and driven by trainer Yves Boireau at 7/1 odds. Second was Coco de Rocha (3m Opium-Like d’riane) with Jacques Bruneau the trainer/driver. Third was 8/1 Coeur de Loup (3m Jet Fortuna-Otra Luna) handled by trainer Philippe Daugheard. The winners’ dam, Daisy Chain (f24 Speedy Somolli-Kravette-Caprior), is a dandy broodmare. She’s has 16 foals, 13 money winners and produced Kaisy Dream (€1,017,503), Orsy Dream (€216,730) and Paisy Dream (€143,300).
Next at Laval was the Prix de la Foret de Concise (€28,000 purse, 2875 meters, 16 starters) that resulted in a 1.15.5kr win for 4/1 Vic du Pommereux (6m Love You-Kubrune) for trainer/driver Sylvain Roger. 2/1 odds Tina Vivanciere (8f Hermes Perrine-Giga Quary) was second for David Thomain ahead of 29/1 outsider Tenora d’Orne (8f Kenor de Cosse-Melisse d’Orme) with Amaud Desmottes aboard.
At the Paris-Vincennes evening card, the Prix Tolosa (€56,000 purse, 2100 meters autostart, 15 European starters) went to quick-striding Reckless (5m Ready Cash-Haver) in 1.10.7kr for owner/trainer/driver Bjorn Goop at 15/1. 25/1 Peace Of Mind (6f Uronometro-Erica d’Alfa) was second for Roberto Andreghetti and trainer Fabrice Souloy. 48/1 Roxane Bar (5f Exploit Caf-Guendalina Bar) was third for reinsman Alexandre Abrivard and trainer Catello Savarese. Dam of the winner is a 2004 foal by Supergill-Sweet As Candy-Smasher, she a 1:56.2 record performer and 410,000SEK yearling at the 2005 Kriterieauktionen. Second dam Sweet As Candy was a US$200,000 plus winner that at age four won the Drottning Silvas Pokal and the Stochampionatet. Fourth dam is Newmarket, a US$548,000 winner that at age three won the Coaching Club Trotting Oaks and was second in the Hambletonian Oaks.
Vincennes hosted the day’s Quinte+ event (jackpot €2.8 million) that was the Prix Eudora (€60,000 purse, 2700 meters, 14 European starters). Universal Rider (7m Nahar de Breval-Hanska) took the victory in 1.13.1kr for Mathieu Mottier as the 7/10 favorite. 13/1 Tiva de la Frette (8f Indy de Vive-Kiva de la Frette) was second for teamster Loic Guinoiseau and trainer Franck Leblanc. 4/1 Osiride Grif (7m Varenne-Sex Appeal OK) ended third for trainer/driver Nicolas Ensch and Italian owner Scuderia Winner Stable.
