If any harness racing family can boast more than its share of Group One winners, it has to be the clan Smiley Sophie belongs to.

For those trying to place the name Smiley Sophie, she is one of the sensational team of yearlings Breckon Farms will present at next month’s sale.

To be more precise, Smiley Sophie will enter the ring as lot five at the Australasian Classic Yearling Sale at Karaka in Auckland on Monday, February 16.

By boom stallion Art Major, the filly is from broodmare gem, Vicario, a daughter of Soky’s Atom.

Although Vicario’s career was limited to just eight starts, a large portion of her relatives have reached grand heights.

Furthermore, Vicario has proven her worth in the breeding barn, being the dam of two Group One winners - Stunin Cullen and Coburg.

Stunin Cullen won four Group Ones on his way to earning $1,493,716, while Coburg was a Group One winner at four.

Vicario is a half-sister to dual New Zealand Cup winner Il Vicolo, with her relatives including Auckland Cup star Gotta Go Cullen ($1,173,343), Lauraella ($649,946), Smooth Falcon and Reba Lord.
