Tuesday's qualifying session at Caen (Normandy) was the fastest since the beginning of the year for harness racing 3-yo. French trotters.
Sebastien Guarato's Dear Lover (Love You) passed the test in 1'16''4 kr (2:03.0 mr) which is the record of the year co-held with Delicatessen (The Best Madrik).
The colt was imitated later during the morning by Dis Moi Tout (Prince Gede) who passed the test in 1'16''5 kr (2:03.1 mr).
The colt is trained by Vincent Renault.
Further down the list, Destin de l'Oree (Nuage de Lait) took advantage of following a 4-yo. candidate and passed the exam in 1'16''8 kr (2:03.3 mr).
All three qualifiers figure among the top-10 fastest 3-year-olds of the year.
A total of 104 colts and fillies gathered at Caen on Tuesday morning and 37 qualified.
Qualification sessions are held over 2,000 metres.
Minimum time is 1'20''5 kr (2:09.3 mr) for 3-year-olds, but will change to 1'20 kr (2:08.4 mr) from April onwards.
