Final Field Place (Fixed Odds Place) betting will be available on all domestic thoroughbred, harnessracing and greyhound racing, as well as selected feature international racing, from this Saturday (March 10).
Following successful trials of the new option during Auckland Cup week, Final Field Place is an important addition to the TAB’s stable of Fixed Odds Betting options.
“Final Field Place has been on the wish list of many of our customers, so we’re delighted to be able to offer it as a permanent addition to our Fixed Odds suite,” said NZ Racing Board General Manager Wagering, Racing and Sport Martin Saunders.
“It’ll be a popular option because it gives punters the opportunity to lock in a fixed return when a runner successfully places.”
Certain to be popular with experienced racing punters, Final Field Place will also be a winner for the TAB’s wider customer base.
“As a Fixed Odds product, it also means customers will be able to take Final Field Place bets in a range of ways, such as including it in Multis across racing and sport,” said Mr Saunders.
“The introduction of Final Field Place means there’s also a Fixed Odds opportunity for the ever-popular ‘each way’ bet – Final Field Each Way.”
Final Field Place bets can be made at TAB outlets, online and using mobile devices, on-course and via Phonebet and Touch-Tone services.
