Three heats of the Albion Park Harness Racing Club's TH Marshall Taxation Member's Cup will be staged at the Queensland headquarters this Saturday night (November 5). The first event, The Garrard's Horse and Hound Pace, an M1 to M2 event over 2138m will kick off proceedings at an earlier start time of 5.10.
Punters will have to wait until the forth event of the night for the first heat of the TH Marshall Taxation Member's Cup at 6.37pm.
Several chances will line up in the first heat- four of which are last start winners.
Nomunnofun (), who is drawn in barrier one for trainer Debbie Belford, won last time out at the Gold Coast in a mile rating of 2.00.2 . Nomunnofun recorded a string of minor placings beforehand.
Highview Pace (), the second of such runners, was victorious when leading all the way at the non-tab Saturday afternoon fixture at Redcliffe last week for Deception Bay trainer Bunger Johnson.
Tuscan Abbe (), who made headlines when trained in New South Wales by Les Kosklin by having both male and female reproductive organs, was the third last start winner at the Gold Coast for trainer Vicki Rasmussen. Tuscan Abbe, who has placed in Group company earlier in his career, is drawn on the back line.
Lightning Magic (), a tear away winner at the non-tab fixture at Redcliffe last week when clocking a handy mile rating of 1.58.3 for trainer Darren Hooper, has drawn also on the back row in barrier nine.
The second of the three heats is race six at 7.42pm.
Blazing Terror () is having his first start since the Season Starter Final in early September for trainer Peter Greig. Blazing Terror won a heat to the said race in 1.58.2 as an odds-on favourite. The four year old also started an odds on favourite in the final. Blazing Terror has drawn well in barrier two.
Former New South Wales Pacer Weasel () is having his first Queensland race start. Now trained by Vicki Rasmussen, Weasel, has started in only ten races for a impressive record of four victories and four minor placings which include a 1.56.5 victory at Penrith. Weasel will start from barrier seven.
The Cristina Monte trained El Pinot() seems to be revelling in conditions provided by his trainer since heading to the Sunshine State from the Wagga Wagga district. El Pinot, who has started on four occasions in Queensland, has recorded two victories and a placing on another occasion. The quickest of the two victories was on the Albion Park surface in a mile rating of 1.57.2.
Street Safe (), another prepared by Bunger Johnson, is another pacer in fine form. Street Safe has won three out of his latest four starts including two on the Albion Park surface. Street Safe will start from barrier five.
The final of the heats is race seven at 8.10pm.
Peter Greig’s second stable runner in the heats- One Eyed Terror ().
The four year old has amassed over $40,000 in his forty-three start career to date which include finishing in the top two in over half of his starts. One Eyed Terror was defeated narrowly behind Idontneedluck last time out after being three wide for a major part of the race.
The Grant Dixon stable is represented by five year oldmare Marrissma. The ex-New South Wales trained pacer has started in seven races since heading north which has resulted in placing in the top three on six of those occasions.
Highstead(), who is drawn in barrier one, and Knight N Charge(Knight Rainbow), who is drawn in alley ten have both won at their latest start. Highstead won at the Gold Coast over 2100 metres whilst Knight N Charge won also at the Gold Coast, at odds of $79.70.
The last of the eight races for theprogram is the Radio TAB 1008AM Mares Pace at 8.40pm.
The first race from Albion Park is set down for an earlier start of 5.10pm.
