Formal Affair delivers in Governor's Plate

Formal Affair was sent away as the post time favorite and the Governor's Plate starter delivered winning in 1:56.4 for his harness racing backers in the feature event Saturday night at Red Shores Racetrack & Casino.

Driver Mark Bradley took command of the field sending the Dale & Ronnie Rennie pacing star to the front from post 8 on en route to a one length victory turning back Riccaras Sun and Sombrero Blue Chip for third. The time  of the mile was 1:56.4.

The David Rose trainee captured his first win of the 2011 campaign in only his third start. Driver Mark Bradley enjoyed a driving triple on the night.

In other action, Scarlet Patti and Darryl MacLean won the trot division while Ms Campbell, with Blaine Baglole in the bike, engineered a latestretch duel to win the MacPhail Reunion Pace. Camcun, driven by Kenny Arsenault, claimed the Morell & Area 4H Club Pace.
