There are four return winners ready to do battle in the ninth race feature pace at the Hippodrome 3R on Tuesday evening. First race post time at 7:00 pm.
While two of the four horses are coming off qualifying race victories, the fourth return winner in the field is not and in fact he is the fastest return winner in the race. That honor goes to Windham Hanover from post seven.
The ten-year-old gelded son of Mach Three is trained and driven by Norman Beaudoin and last week at the Hippodrome 3R they teamed up and posted a very impressive wire to wire victory in 1:55.2 by two open lengths in this same class.
Last week was the Windham Hanover’s second win on the season, yet the impressive mile was not good enough for the morning line maker at 3R as they have him tabbed as the 4-1 fourth choice in the race.
The honors of being the morning line favorite at odds of 5/2 goes to Walks Of Life. This four-year-old grey gelded son of Western Hall is coming off a 1:58.2 win at 3R last week and is making only his third start of the year for trainer Daniel Martin.
Walks Of Life will start from post three for driver Stephane Brosseau.
Other contenders in the field include Hockey Bum (post 2) who just won his qualifying race at 3R in 1:59.4 along with Dagon A Little (post 5) and a returnee from Rideau Carlton, Who Dey.
Starting from post six, Who Dey will be driven by Jocelyn Gendron and has been very sharp in his last two starts, finishing second and third but race timed in 1:55.4 and 1:54.2.
Completing the field are Pan Larcey (post 1), Montezuma Bluechip (post 4), OK Ebury (post 8) and Beach Runner A M (post 9).
