The $500,000 Ben Franklin Final is being billed as the Northern Hemisphere's race of the year after the draw was released today. All of the open class stars will be on show at Chester and, other that the retiring Mister Big, any of the remainder of the field could be enticed to Sydney for the Watpac Inter Dominion.

“This certainly is a race that could influence our Watpac ID10 decisions as far as an invite to the Championship is concerned” NSWHRC Chief executive John Dumesny said.

“We have been taking in the performances so far this season and there isn’t a split second between the major players as was shown in the Eliminations last week”

“Kevin Seymour (Watpac Chairman) has been extremely keen on the Club sourcing another northern hemisphere horse to continue on with the great publicity and interest generated by Mr Feelgood this year”

“Kevin will, as he always does, take in this result with interest and we will discuss the possibilities of horses to target again next week”
