The Freehold Raceway, America's oldest pari-mutuel harness racing track, is back in action starting March 1 with the opening of a 90-day spring meet.

According to the Freehold Raceway website, the track will mark opening day with a special $13.95 buffet in the Renaissance Dining Room. They will also give out a free six-pack cooler to patrons who purchase a Freehold live program, while supplies last.

The spring season runs March, April and May and offers a three-day week schedule – Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Throughout the 39-day spring schedule, the first post is 12:30 p.m.

A highlight of the spring meet will be the Dexter Cup Trot on Saturday, May 5. There also be a companion filly event, the Lady Suffolk Trot, on May 4. According to Freehold Raceway, both of these events will showcase three-year-old trotters.
