The Sweet Dion paced home for her Third Straight win Friday (December 6) in Northfield Park's eleventh race. The seven year-old is owned, trained and was driven by Elliott Deaton.

The Sweet Dion started from post four. She was third through an initial quarter of :27.4. Deaton pulled the mare approaching the :58 half and remained first-over before taking the lead approaching the 1:27 three-quarters. She paced away from her competition, stopping the timer at 1:56.3. The Sweet Dion posted a 4 ¼-length margin of victory over her closest competitor, Ring Around Rosie (Aaron Merriman).

Friday's triumph was the 10 win this year and 19 career success for The Sweet Dion (Real Artist-Celine Dion-Jaguar Spur) and increased her lifetime earnings to $134,718. She returned $9.40 to win.

BIG NIGHT FOR Josh Sutton

Josh Sutton drove six winners on Friday (December 6) at Northfield Park. Sutton's winners included Golden Slipper ($7.60) in race one, Random Blizzard ($5.80) in race two, Richlyn Tessa ($5.20) in race six, Viewish ($7.00) in race seven, Internal Check ($12.00) in race nine and Hurrikane Eileen ($10.40) in race 12.

Thirty-one year old Sutton began driving in 2000 and has since garnered 2,168 career victories and is approaching $12,500,000 in purse earnings.
