A field of seven squared off in the featured harness racing event at Harrah's Philly on Friday, a upper- conditioned level pace for fillies and mares.
The purse was $22,000. The favorite at post time was Ron Burke trainee Bazooka Terror (Yannick Gingras).
At the start, it was Fast and Fiesty (Dave Miller) showing her familiar early speed. Her lead was short-lived however, as long shot Breathtaking (Geo. Napolitano Jr.) brushed to the front, by an opening quarter of :27.3. After a rated :29 second quarter, business picked up as Star Keeper (Tim Tetrick) moved first-over to challenge. They battled by three-quarters in 1:24.3 (:28). Breathtaking drew clear at the top of the stretch, barely holding off the late charge of Marty Party (Brett Miller) to win by a head, stopping the clock in 1:53.2.
She paid $22.60 to win. Breathtaking is owned by trainer Gilbert Garcia-Herrera.
