Charlottetown, PE – Saulsbrook Alana equaled her own track record with a 1:56 winning performance during Maritime Breeders elimination action Saturday at Red Shores Racetrack & Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park.

Marc Campbell engineered the trip touching down on the front on route to the half that was reached in 57.2 after Elm Grove Inarush posted the opening panel in a stiff 28.1. The Kevin MacLean trainee raced past the three-quarter station in 1:27.2. The filly brushed home in 28.3 seconds to stop the timer in track record time. The daughter of Western Paradise-Atlanta Girl picked up her 8th win from 11 starts for owner Reg MacPherson of Stratford. Elm Grove Inarush was second with Sail Through third.

Gilles Barrieau swept two of the MBA colt eliminations when he drove Setttlement Request to a 1:59.3 score while his other stable star Tobins Fushion delivered as the post time favorite in 1:59 flat.

Dumas Walker, with Myles Heffernan in the bike, won the other colt MBA division elimination in 1:59. The colt has won his last two starts and moves his season top three summary from eleven starts to 8-1-1.

Stayoutofmyaffair, under the command of Jason Hughes, won the mares open in 1:56.1. The mare is trained by Stephen Quinn of Charlottetown for owner Robi Hughes of Stratford. Veronicavermillion was charging hard late to take second with rail-sitter JK Beauty completing the triactor.

Flag of Honor (Gilles Barrieau), Outside the Wire (Brodie MacPhee), Tymal Headliner (Brodie MacPhee) and Micrometerjack (Corey MacPherson) won their respective legs of the David Rose Memorial For the Fans Series. The memorial, presented by Meridian Farms, tied a promotion to each race with fans being drawn to team up with a horse for a chance to win additional prizes.
