Ownerrallied the six-year-old brown gelding from the back of the pack in sixth place starting down the stretch and closed well to win by a head over Miracle Matts. Kisser was third. The 5-2-6 triactor paid $260.50.
Cheverie won the last three races of the day for a driving triple. His other wins came with veteran Blue Meadow Willie for owners Robert and Brenda MacInnis of Summerside and JK Special from the Joe Smallwood stable.
Driverrecorded a hat-trick including the fastest mile of the day with Camcun in 1:59.4. Arsenault also paraded Scotian Lass and Hezmaboy back to the winner's circle.
Wonderous Hanover won the trot class for driverand trainer Mitchell Tierney who co-owns the trotter with William Andrew of Calgary, Alberta.
and had driving doubles.
