Charlottetown, PE - Nobestbfor proved to be the best after knocking off the rest of the field to win the feature race Saturday at Red Shores at the Charlottetown Driving Park. The time of the mile was 2:01.4 and Nobestbfor went off at odds of 9-1.

Owner Walter Cheverie rallied the six-year-old brown gelding from the back of the pack in sixth place starting down the stretch and closed well to win by a head over Miracle Matts. Cambest Kisser was third. The 5-2-6 triactor paid $260.50.

Cheverie won the last three races of the day for a driving triple. His other wins came with veteran Blue Meadow Willie for owners Robert and Brenda MacInnis of Summerside and JK Special from the Joe Smallwood stable.

Driver Kenny Arsenault recorded a hat-trick including the fastest mile of the day with Camcun in 1:59.4. Arsenault also paraded Scotian Lass and Hezmaboy back to the winner's circle.

Wonderous Hanover won the trot class for driver Michael McGuigan and trainer Mitchell Tierney who co-owns the trotter with William Andrew of Calgary, Alberta.

Corey MacPherson and Jason Hughes had driving doubles.
