Two straight for Forever Paradise at Red Shores

Charlottetown PE - The former Maritime stakes winner Forever Paradise is once again enjoying the fresh Island air.

The four-year-old gelded son of Western Paradise picked up his second straight feature victory at Red Shores Charlottetown on Thursday night, stopping the clock in 1:56.1.
 
Driver Marc Campbell hustled Forever Paradise to the lead before a give-and-go with pocket sitter I D K, Cutting out all the numbers of :27.4, :57.3, :127, Forever Paradise opened up and won by three lengths for owner Reg MacPherson and trainer Kevin MacLean. I D K held for second and Mcjestic was third. The win was part of a driving double for Campbell who won earlier in the card with Kyle Wilkie trainee Mademoiselle Neeld.
 
Honor Roll has been on quite a roll of her own, the five-year-old daughter of Mach Three picked up her fifth straight victory in 1:59.2 for co-owner and driver Brian Andrew. As her previous four victories, Honor Roll came from out of the clouds to pick up the victory in race 10. She is also owned by Bill Andrew and Blake Andrew. Ronnie Gass is the trainer. Brian also had a double on the card winning with Lace in Race 2.
 
A light upset in the Open Trot seen Frill Seeker defeat his seven rivals in 2:00.4 for the Ebbsfleet Stables. Driver - trainer Kenny Arsenault gained the fourth position off of the wings before rushing to the front just past the half, winning by a third-of-a-length over the bettors choice Zip The Lip. Pleasure Girls was third.
 
Jason Hughes picked up a driving and training double on the card winning with Rocks Confession in 2:01.. He also took the evenings Open Mares race with Stayoutofmyaffair in 1:57.
 
It is with sadness that Red Shores confirms the death of Northern Zoom during tonight's race program. Our condolences are with the horse's owner, trainer and driver. Northern Zoom was transported to the Atlantic Vet College where and autopsy will be performed.
 
Racing returns to Red Shores Charlottetown on Saturday night with a 6 p.m. post time.
