The results of the holiday racing in Tasmania have given a terrific boost for the upcoming Tasmania Premier Harness Yearling Sale.
Guys Delight, who won the consolation of the Eric Reece Memorial at Hobart, is represented by a full sister as Lot 25, while Black Centurian, a winner at Devonport on Boxing Day, also has a sister in Lot 11. Both are sired by the 1:49 $900,000 winner JR Mint and are part of the five-strong Jetsonville Park Syndicate draft.
Meanwhile, Good Beginnings, who won its third race at Hobart last Sunday, has a Major In Art half-brother in the sale as Lot 5 along with a very close relative in Lot 9, a Tiz A Masterpiece-El Jays Belle filly. Both youngsters will be offered by Big Park Stud, Karoola, of Lyndon and Gail Menegon, who have nominated eight for the sale - easily the largest draft.
The Tasmanian Yearling Sale will be held at the Inveresk Show ground, Launceston on Friday, February 14, starting at 6pm.
