Charlottetown, PE – Eagle Jolt came flying up the passing lane to catch Bazillion (Brian MacPhee) in deep stretch to win the Thursday feature at Red Shores Racetrack & Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park. The time of the mile was 1:59.1 over a rain soaked track listed as sloppy with a two second variant.
Marc Campbell engineered the winning drive sitting in the pocket behind Bazillion through splits of 30.3, 1:01.1 and 1:30.2 before edging out the fraction setter for the victory. Eagle Jolt now has 40 lifetime wins for owners Wilbur and Marie MacDonald, Orwell Cove, PE. Starcastic (Ron Matheson) was third.
Trotters High Flying (Gordon Hennessey), Parkhill Jugernaut (Ambyr Campbell), Westwood (Gary Chappell) and Thunderway (Jason Hughes) won their respective assignments on the card.
Campbell, Donnie MacNeill, Gary Chappell and Jason Hughes had driving doubles.
