Next Friday September 2nd and Saturday 3rd in the Hungarian historic track of Kincsem Park in the capital city of Budapest will be held the FEGAT World Championship 2016 for harness racing amateur drivers organized by the flag of the FEGAT (European federation of amateurs drivers) in cooperation with the Hungarian amateur drivers Club the “Magyar Amatör Ügetö Hajtók Egyesülete”.
The championship will be played on two race days, with the participation of drivers from 12 different nationalities (4 women & 8 men) who will drive in 6 scoring races each.
The most important novelty in the World Cup will be the present for first time in the history of an Argentinian driver representative, in this case Mr. Leonardo Agusti, driver with more than 1.250 wins in his home country and at same time President of the Argentinian Breeders Association.
Other notables in the field will be the former World Cup Champion in 2008 in the USA, the Kiwi driver Mr. Gavin Cook, formers European Champions, the Finnish Teemu Keskitalo (Norway 2015) and Spaniard Miquel Vich Capó (Czech Republic 2012) and the new Yankee amateur driver star Hannah Miller. Will complete the field the Aussie Barbara Barry, Belgium Piet Van Pollaert, Czech Republic Alle Johannes Marinus Loman, Dannish Bitter Jensen, Hungarian Andrea Nagyvary, Italian Mirko Marini and Swiss Jean Claude Gardaz.
