The All Stars barn at Rolleston have revolutionised harness racing in New Zealand in the last decade, dominating the age group scene especially to a level not seen in my lifetime (long).
Going into todays three year old Emerald at Ashburton, the All Stars barn had four runners and three of them were the first three public elects on the tote.
Have Faith In Me with Tim Williams in the bike was first out from barrier three and lead through the first 600 metres before handing up to stablemate Follow The Stars and Mark Purdon.
Turning for home Follow The Stars was quickly collared by Have Faith In Me and Tim hardly moved in the bike as the son of Bettor's Delight cruised down to the line.
Another stablemate Hug The Wind with Natalie Rasmussen in the bike rushed home late on the inner to grab second ahead of a game Follow The Stars in third to give the All Star barn their second trifecta for the day and the sire Bettors Delight his second trifecta as well.
Have Faith In Me paced the mile in the cool wintry conditions in a smart 1:52.5 with the closing sectionals in a sensational 54 and 25.2.
Tim Williams was extremely modest when interviewed post race.
"I can't believe how lucky I am to have Natalie and Mark put me on horses like this."
"I thought when I went there I might get a few drives down the track but to be winning races like this so soon is like a dream come true."
"He was a bit fresh in his prelim and score up today but was fine when the gate went."
"I didn't mind handing up to a horse like Follow The Stars as he is a great horse himself but to be fair we won pretty easily in the end," Tim said.
The All Stars barn won five races on todays nine race programme and have a plethora of stars in their barn.
But the brightest star of all for Harnesslink is without a doubt Have Faith In Me who just looks to one of those very special horses that can achieve things with ease that other horses struggle to do at all.
