CHARLOTTETOWN, PE – Middleton Terror (Stonebridge Terror) will aim to wrap up the harness racing featured pace on a special Boxing Day program Tuesday (Dec. 26) afternoon at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park.
The capital oval has a 12-dash presentation on Boxing Day starting at 12:30 P.M.
The $3,600 Preferred Pace lines up in race 11 with Middleton Terror selected in the win position by Race Secretary Gerard Smith with rail control. David Dowling trains and drives Middleton Terror for owners Kingsley Walsh and Frank Balcom. The four-year-old gelding was a third-place finisher his last start to Roll Em and No Plan Intended, who are both absent from action this week.
Laughagain Hanover (To be driven by Jason Hughes) has post 2 in the field while Pictonian I Am (Ken Murphy) steps up to Preferred company from post 3 after winning his last two starts. Mantario leaves from post 4 with Ontario driver Damian MacLellan back on the East Coast for the Holiday Season.
Post 5 has Fern Hill General (Brodie MacPhee) while former Gold Cup and Saucer winner Time To Dance (Marc Campbell) leaves from the outside post 6.
The Post Time Picks like Middleton Terror to deliver off the rail.
“Have a peek at the line two back where Middleton Terror flew home in a snappy 28.3 and just missed getting it all. Lands on the cones and is going to get a tidy trip so this could be the day he seals the deal.”
Race 6 is the Boxing Day Pace for a $2,200 purse. Elroy Shiner will seek win number 10 of the season from post 5 with Brady Sweet back in the bike for trainer Jeff Holmes and owner Frank Sweet.
Island Beach Boy is the favourite with rail control in the race 7 Darren Greig 40th Birthday Pace. MacPhee drives the Tom Weatherbie trainee for owners Ian Smith and Arnold Hagen.
