Charlottetown, PE – Tempo Seelster and harness racing driver Vince Poulton won the evening feature over a fast closing Carnivore (Walter Cheverie) and Cabo Pan Lucas (Danny MacDonald) Saturday at Red Shores Racetrack & Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park.
The mile was charted in 1:57.3 for Tempo Seelster who left from post three and cut fractions of 29.1, 59.3 and 1:28.4. The son of Santanna Blue Chip flashed a closing panel of 28.4. It was Poulton's second winner on the program after another wire to wire score with IDK owned by his sister Gail MacDonald and trained by his brother Gary Poulton of Charlottetown.
Corey MacPherson enjoyed a big night at the office with a driving triple. MacPherson won with Alliegetty for owner Kent Livingston, Brodys Leona, who nosed out Motorino in a photo finish to go right to her personal best of 1:58.3 for owners Kerry and Emily Taylor, Stratford and Lisa Richards, Cornwall and veteran Life Savior for trainer Duane MacEachern and owner Darla MacEachern of Kensington.
Fightmaster put in an impressive performance winning in gate to wire fashion in 1:57.4 for driver Mike McGuigan and his co-owner Jack Quinn, Charlottetown.
