Summerside, PE – J RS Hurricane, withharness racing driver Ken Murphy in the bike, won the Sunday afternoon feature in 2:00.1 over a rain soaked track at Red Shores Summerside. It was the Murphy's third winner of the day. Outside The Wire (Brian MacPhee) burst off the gate to control the tempo through fractions of 29.1, 59.3, 1:29.4 before fading to second. Nogreatmischief (Walter Cheverie) completed the triactor. J RS Hurricane, who is owned and trained by Jean Charles Belliveau, Scoudouc, NB, paid $31.90 to win.
Murphy and Clark Smith recorded a driving-training double when they teamed up for scores with Im Driven in the opener and All Out in the seventh.
Jason Hughes is only three victories away from career win 1000 after top place finishes with Spirit of America, newcomer Nuck Phil for conditioner Jennifer Trainor and Lucksgottachange for his brother Robi of Stratford, PE.
Mark Bradley recorded a driving double on the program.
