Charlottetown, PE – Waterside Light, owned by Hilliard Graves, Charlottetown and Larry Chappell, Marshfield, won the Thursday night harness racing feature at Red Shores at the Charlottetown Driving Park.
Driver Kenny Arsenault converted a perfect pocket ride to victory after tracking Cabo Pan Lucas (Danny MacDonald), who finished second, through fractions of 28, 58 and 1:27.4 to stop the timer in 1:57. Tempo Seelster (Vince Poulton) was third. It was Arsenault's second winner of the program.
JK Queen, with Walter Cheverie in the bike, and Villager, under the direction of Mark Cullen, won their respective trot divisions.
Jason Hughes enjoyed a great night at the office. The Stratford native recorded a driving triple while Mark Bradley and Gary Chappell also notched driving doubles.
