Charlottetown, PE – The Big Bite was sent to the front by driver Mike Stevenson and held off all challengers to win the Thursday harness racing feature at Red Shores at the Charlottetown Driving Park. The time of the mile was 1:58.1. The track was rated as good with a two second variant. Nogreatmishchief (Walter Cheverie) was second with Balanchine (Gilles Barrieau) third. The 2-7-3 triactor returned $178.40.

Morning line favorite Silverhill Shadow was scratched.
Driver Wade Sorrie started the night by taking the early daily double with A Littlegirlsdream in the opener for owner-trainer Robert Phillips of South Pinette, PE and followed up with Gascoigne Dickie in the second race for Murray Graham MacDonald, Montague, PE.
Vince Poulton scored a driving double with victories aboard Tempo Seelster and Cabo Pan Lucas for trainer Gary Poulton and his co-owner Alan Walker, Charlottetown, PE.
Phantom Beau, with Gordie Hennessey in the bike, captured the trot division over Howmacs Pride in 2:04.1. The trotter is owned by Paul Breau and Catherine MacAulay, Moncton, NB and trained by Tom Weatherbie.
