The top local horsemen for Wednesday night at the harness racing meeting at Grand River Raceway were the Holliday family.
They won the first division of the Ontario Sires Stakes gold division with Platoon Seelster.
It was a family affair for the Mount Forest residents.
Ryan Holliday was aboard Platoon Seelster while father, David Holliday, looks after the training duties.
Caroline, Ryan's wife, is the co-owner of Platoon Seelster.
It was Platoon Seelster's first win of the season and third lifetime.
He has now made just over $200,000 lifetime for the Holliday family.
The Ontario Sires Stakes return to Grand River Raceway next Wednesday, July 22.
Grand River Raceway features live harness racing on Monday, Wednesday and Friday nights all summer. Complete schedule info at www.grandriverraceway.com .
